Whether you’re new to the gym or you’re a seasoned vet, everyone knows the importance of a well-stocked gym bag. You’ll want to make sure you have all the essentials you need to look and feel your best.
In addition to gym socks, shoes, and spare clothes, here are our other absolute must-haves.
1. Deodorant
It’s a no-brainer, we know. Pack a spare of your favorite deodorant so you can quickly freshen-up both before and after your workout. Our favorite for sensitive skin is DERMAdoctot’s Total NonScents.
2. Water Bottle
Another “duh” item, we know. But we just don’t want you to forget. If you want to really set yourself apart, check out these uber-stylish bottles from Swell.
3. Hair Elastics
If your hair is medium to long, hair ties are an absolute must. If you have shorter hair, you may also want to throw in a couple of bobby pins or snap barrettes. We love these inexpensive slide-proof hair elastics.
4. Ear Buds
Whether you use your phone, an ipod, or tablet for entertainment, you’ll still need a good pair of ear buds. The Jabra Sport Pulse Headphones are a great choice, plus they even have a built-in heart monitor.
5. Snacks
Make sure you pack a healthy post-workout snack to replenish your energy. Our current favorite? Luna Vanilla Blueberry bars.
6. Refresher Spray
Freshen up and hydrate your skin with your favorite scented spray or face mist. This travel-sized Rainforest of the Sea mist from tarte is one of our most-loved. You may also want to check out Haus of Gloi’s fabulous Summer Refreshers.
You may also want to pack:
Flip-Flops – If you plan on showering at the gym, you’ll definitely want to have a pair.
Dry Shampoo – Not showering at the gym? We don’t blame you. Quickly and easily refresh your locks with a dry shampoo instead. It’ll absorb the oils and sweat and bring volume back to your hair lickety-split.
Hair Brush – You’ll especially want one if you’re using dry shampoo.
Face Wipes – A quick swipe and you’ll feel super refreshed.
Sunscreen – Unless you’re working out at night, you’ll want to bring along your usual sunscreen to reapply after your workout.
